A strategic place

Within AiRT DE FAMILLE, I managed the bar, the festival’s second emblematic space. Visitors came there to refresh themselves after visiting the exhibition or before joining an activity. It was both a breathing space, a convivial place and a central point in the visitor experience.

My role as manager

I managed on average two to three volunteers each day. I prepared rotation schedules, distributed tasks and trained new people in bar management. I had to be clear enough for everyone to know what to do, while staying available when the pace increased.

During festival evenings, whether open to the public or privatized for B2B events, the bar remained central to guest satisfaction. I had to adapt the team, organization and welcome to each format.

Listening to improve

Relationships were essential so visitors would keep a positive memory of the festival and want to recommend it. The bar was also where I collected the most spontaneous feedback: visitors naturally talked about the exhibition, activities and their overall feeling.

This position connected me directly with the marketing and communication team, to whom I could pass recurring comments. I learned that effective management is not only about task organization: it must give the team the means to offer a thoughtful, consistent and human welcome.
